Popular things to do in Malta

While Malta is not exactly what pops in mind when vacation is being discussed, it is quite undisputed that this small island country is perhaps one of the best vacation spots in the world today. This is because you will never run out of things to do in Malta. Malta is perhaps one of the most diverse countries in Europe or perhaps even the world, thanks to its unique history and culture that are products of being colonized by several countries for several years. Hence, there are various things to do in Malta for you to enjoy.

One of the most popular things to do in Malta is enjoying the country’s nightlife. Malta has perhaps one of the most active nightspots in the Mediterranean, thanks to the sprawling development in St. Julian’s. Among the popular things to do in Malta’s top nightlife central are trying out the various restaurants in the area, playing in the casino, and enjoying the area’s adult entertainment establishments. St. Julian’s is also very open to various orientations, so gays feel very welcome in this community therefore, giving them many things to do in Malta. The top restaurants are also situated in St. Julian’s, including Blue Elephant and Sale e Pepe Trattoria.

Of course, in line with these things to do in Malta is trying out the country’s local cuisine. No vacation should end without you trying a foreign country’s popular dishes. While some of the more popular dishes in Malta are a bit too exotic for some palates, they are definitely worth a try. Among the things to do in Malta in line with this is getting out good but cheap restaurants in the country and not just in popular areas such as Paceville in St. Julian’s.

Another one of the most popular things to do in Malta is shopping. This is not highly evident, considering many people thing of Malta as a backward and rustic country, but this island paradise is already equipped with some of the most state of the art facilities and top of the line stores. You will never run out of things to do in Malta in terms of shopping because there are numerous high-end and low-end markets and malls in the country, giving the option that is considerate to your budget. Because Malta is within close proximity to various European countries, you can easily buy popular European products in Malta’s markets and mall.

Lastly, other things to do in Malta include trying out the country’s renowned water sport activities and visiting the country’s most popular beaches. Obviously, these two go hand in hand. Malta is renowned for some of the more popular water sports today (although there are no waves in Malta’s beaches, so it is unlikely that you will be able to surf). Meanwhile, Malta’s beaches are considered as among the pristine and the most breathtaking in the Mediterranean, so it is a waste not to see a number of them, considering the country is quite small and you can visit several beaches in a few days.
